Notes: Radiohead was great, crowd annoying and distracted for them.  At The Drive In was sonically great, not so much on stage.  Tupac was 2D.

Sometimes you get to go to far flung and exciting places on tour… South Africa is one of those places.

Two show days and 3 days to relax… Who could ask for more?  After a day to recover from the jet-lag we embarked to the Johanessburg areas Lion Park which was a great and just-tame-enough safari experience.  Outside of the ride around the lion sections there was also some cuddling up with lion cubs, feeding a giraffe as well as a little play time with a tame adult Cheetah!

The next two days = shows.  Ramfest Johannesburg and Cape Town… How amazing they both were.  Great people on the production side as well as great crowds.  I can say I’ve officially done a show at a Ostrich Farm.

Capetown… while Johanessburg has the real South Africa feel to it, Cape Town has the history and the Music Industry.  Visits to Table Mountain, Red Bull Studios South Africa as well as Rolling Stone South Africa made for a great day… Not to mention a nice visit to a Market Square to pick up some knick knacks and touristy gifts!

And now we’re off to Canada…
